The Wedding Vow

You are not the air that I breathe,
You are the sweet scent that drifts upon it;
You are not the food that I need,
You are the nourishment of my soul.
You are not my will to survive,
You are my reason for living.
It is with you that I experience the wonders of the world;
It is with you that I triumph over the challenges in my
path;
It is your partnership that will lead me to the fulfillment
of my dreams.
It is your friendship that guides me  as I learn and grow.
It is your patience and wisdom that calms my restless
nature.
I do not take you for granted, I cherish you.
I do not need you---I choose you.
I choose you today in witness of all the  people who love
us.
I choose you tomorrow in the privacy of our hearts.
I choose you in strength and in weakness.
I choose you in health and in sickness.
I choose you in joy and in sorrow.
I shall choose you over all others every day for all the
days of my life.

times of distress, to encourage you to achieve all of your

13 A------The Song Of Ruth
                               Scriptural Version

"Entreat me not to leave thee
or to return  from following after thee,
for whither thou goest, i will go
and whither thou lodgest, I will lodge.
Thy people shall be my people
and thy God my God.
Whither thou diest I will die,
and there will I be buried.
The Lord do so to me snd more, also,
if ought but death part thee and me.

Contemporary Version

Please do not tell me ever to leave you
or not to follow you;
For where ever you go, I will go,
and where ever you make your home, I will make mine.
Your people and family shall also be mine
and we will worship God together.
Where ever you die, there will I die
and we shall be buried together.
The Lord will help me keep my vows
and only death will part us.
